Some new drawings

Hi everyone hope you're having a happy tuesday!

Anyway here are some new drawing I drew:

here is a drawing ,
I combined my realistic drawing style with my other style..
I think it turned out well

This was originally mean't for a Star Wars day themed post
unfortunately I never got a chance to post it

This is a drawing of one of my characters, I enjoyed drawing her hair

This drawing was fun to draw
I enjoyed drawing her hair and earrings and armor!:)

This drawing was especially fun to draw, I kind of see this character as                                           possibly being a Percy Jackson character.

How to get out of Blogger's block (tips for Bloggers)

Hi everyone, today I have anther writing post but this time It has to do with blogging...

Post Ideas-

If you have no idea what to post, it's good to take a quick break from your computer (much like what you do in writing) or ask for some ideas and suggestions from friends or family. Keep in mind you're doing blogging for fun and you should not be pressured to do it.

- If you're an artist then you can take pictures or upload your art and make a post that way, you can talk about which art or drawing is your favorite or which one you particularly enjoyed creating.

-If you're a writer you can share a little bit of a story you're writing such as snippets from your novel (especially if you're doing Camp NaNoWrimo or November Novel Writing),  or share a short story you wrote, or even short bios of your characters.

- If you do photography you can post a photo-shoot, you can take pictures with a friend or take pictures of one of your toys (like a doll or stuffed animal)

Getting Ideas-

It doesn't always happen that you get idea right away sometimes it takes days to come up with a idea or longer. Sometimes the Idea sneaks up on you, or something happens that makes you want to make a post...

but here are some things I do that help me get ideas:

1. Draw or doodle , sometimes just doing that helps me think of a idea..

2. Listening to Music, it helps me get into  a blogging mood.

3. writing, writing down ideas or even a short story helps me think...

4. Reading, The Funny thing about this one is when I'm reading sometimes I come with a post idea out of the blue.

-------------------------------

hope this post was helpful for you!:)

Have you ever not known what to post? how did you come up with an idea?

Song Suffragettes

Hi everyone, so I recently went to Song Suffragettes in Nashville, and it was amazing!

as it turns out not as  many woman singers get on country radio anymore, though it seems like they should. Song Suffragettes was made for woman country singers so they can get heard.

While going to Song Suffragettes I got a few pictures with Kalie Shorr:

photos with Kalie
I'm excited to see them again!

Getting Characters onto Paper (Part 2)

hello everyone, Last time I was talking about characters so I decided I should
 continue it.

                                                 Drawing your character

a drawing I did of one of my characters

sometimes it's hard to imagine what your character looks like ,

it helps to draw them, it doesn't matter if your an artist or not, it just helps to see what your characters look like.

if you don't feel comfortable drawing then you can make a character collage ,

a character collage is when you find images that go along with your character , and make a collage out of them. it's a way to show what your character is like without using words...

here is a example of a collage I made of Silena from Tess Short:

(original pictures  from http://thedesignleaf.com/

Getting to know your character

One of the most important things is knowing your character, knowing what they would do in situations, or even how they walk or talk.

Walking like your character
for this one it requires that you stand up from your computer keyboard or from your writing note-book, and take a walk outside or somewhere that is a wide open space.
start by taking a simple walk around the room. after going the first time around start taking actions of how your character might walk , do they look behind their shoulder? do they skip along as they walk or do they trudge their feet on the ground?  do they lift their head as they walk or do they look down to the ground? once you have done this a couple times you can take notes and add it to your character sheet.

Talking like your character

this one helps with dialogue in your stories, you can ask a Family member or friend for help with this. (since it requires two people.) you both sit at a table one of you is the character and the other one asks questions. First start talking normally and you can introduce yourself as your character , then your family member or friend can start asking you how are you? and stuff like that.
if you are having trouble starting the conversation and getting into character here are some things you start by saying:

1. "Greetings I'm ___ nice to meet you"

2. "what brings you here?"

3. or just a simple "Hi"

as your talking just like in the character walk start acting like your character , do movement with your hands or look behind you now and then, or do whatever you think your character would do...

Dress up as your character

This one optional  but it's fun anyway and you can get the feeling of what it's like to be your character, and step into their shoes and have fun with it.

-------------------

hope you liked it , and I would love hear if you have done any of my ideas or are planning to.
