About

Greetings Traveller! Welcome to Adventure Awaits...

Adventure Awaits in a few words is a Fantasy-themed blog about the creative arts: drawing, writing, acting, photography, singing, songwriting, and animating.

But in a lot more words...
Adventure Awaits' posts consist of (in no particular order)...

writing, I give writing tips in essay form, make posts about my novels, and even post short stories. But not all the short stories will be in the Fantasy genre. Even though this blog is Fantasy-themed, it doesn't mean I don't branch out into other genres. Sometimes characters even come in for a character interview or temporality take over the blog. Since my characters seem very much upset about what I am doing to them in my stories and animated films, they decide that this blog is a good place to take over. Or they come into a well-organized Character Interview and give me information about themselves. But of course since they are characters, there tends to be a little chaos in the interviews.

I post drawing posts often, and also include drawings of characters in posts about my novels (that I am either editing or writing). And I try to use my drawings to illustrate what a character or place or even object within my stories would look like. As for animation (which is related to drawing), I post progress of how I storyboard and animate my videos as well as actually posting the video on the blog. The type of animation I tend to do is hand-drawn animation, but I also do stop-motion animation on my doll blog.

Acting I tend to post monologues, soliloquies, and scenes (Shakespearean and non-Shakespearean).
When acting out contemporary scenes I tend to choose some from my favorite movies or TV shows,
and when acting out a scene with two or more people in it, I play both of the characters in the scene.
And the character interviews have been acted out relatively recently. I also write my own scripts to act out, which come in the form of either plays or short scenes, or even video series.

I am also a singer and a songwriter. I tend to post songs I have written, which tend to be in the Fantasy genre and the country/pop genre, along with songs that have the theme of a ghost story.
On my blog, I post covers of songs alongside original songs.

As for photography the headers of my blog posts are my own photos, which I took and edited slightly.

Adventure Awaits started out merely as a writing and drawing blog, but then evolved into more than that, including acting, animating, singing and songwriting, among other things. I use this blog to share my work with the world, so that I can get it out there.

Greek gods and goddesses, and gods and goddesses from different world mythologies will appear on my blog as well. The gods and goddesses who show up the most are Artemis, Athena, Loki, Hermes, Freya, and more, partly because these four have inspired and showed up in my projects the most.

The mascot of the blog is a dryad named Arcasia who is going on an adventure into the woods...

  3. I came up with a great name for the girl character with the bow and arrows. Here is the name I came up with: Anatolia! I think Anatolia is a great name for that character. -Grace

    3. I like that it is a Greek name (this character is a Dryad from Ancient Greece), and I like the name. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll let you know what I decide. :D

    4. I really did like Anatolia. Thank you again for the suggestion. In the end, I ended up deciding to use the name Arcasia. It's the feminine version of Arcas. 😀
