Tess Short Chapter 12

Greetings, I'm sorry for my delay in posting the next chapter...
But here it is....

chapter 12: An ill warning..
Theron looked at her for awhile then said “No, the leafs aren’t supposed to have any side effects, there supposed to stop nightmares and bad dreams” his eyes seemed to moved around the room when he said that.
“Well…” sighed Tess, she could feel her own heart beating. “I had a dream…”.
“You did? what kind of dream?”
Tess told Theron about her dream, about Mr.largefoot, and the moon ravens at the very end.
“I don’t know why the leafs didn’t help you” he said, Then he fumbled in his pocket and brought out a parcel wrapped up in brown fabric. “This might though” His voice sounded unsure though, he handed it to Tess, which Tess held.
“Only open it when you need it though” he said, and left.
Tess looked at the parcel, she was holding. there was something about it though that made her feel unsafe and insecure, she tried not to think about it. and went off to her room to get dressed , for there was going to be a long journey ahead…
Tess went and packed her things, and put the parcel in the bag,
It was almost like it was watching her, like a cat looking at a mouse in the bushes, getting ready to pounce, at any moment.
She tried not to think about it and packed some spare clothes, that the dryads had given her , she had never put them on they were to pretty to wear…but she kept them just in case she ever needed them, or wanted to wear them, she put them in her bag. then looked at the two books she had brought, The book of Dragons, and The book of history, she picked up the books and placed them into her strap bag. Then looked at the white and gray clothes the elves had given her, though she was a half elf she wondered weather she would be able to keep them clean, and not get mud and dirt on them. She looked down at her brown dress, it was torn at the edges…probably because she had been walking through the undergrowth to get to the palace. Well…she figured she would bring them anyway, I mean you might need something to wear like that, If she was ever invited to a dinner. She put them in her bag. She looked at the rolling pin sitting on her bed. She had lied to Robin that she had brought a dagger, But she had really just brought a rolling pin… Why hadn’t she just told him? She sighed and put it into her bag then slung it over her shoulder. And opened the door. The rest of the group was waiting for her, Thanarien was standing silently with the questers. “Good morning Tess” smiled Robin. Tess didn’t reply , she silently went over with the other questers.
Thanarien went up and made a speech that seemed to last for hours, Until he finally ended it..
In that time Tess had been reading a book, she looked up when she heard the sound of applause, from the elves and faeries who had come to Thanarien’s court. But no dryads had come, And how had Silena been able to come, she looked over at Silena, who was talking to Robin, she figured she would’t interrupt them. She looked back at the book, she still hadn’t finished the story of the ice-dragon she had gotten to the middle. “What are you reading?” asked a voice. Tess looked up The black-haired Fairy Thistle was smiling at her.
“Well…” said Tess. “I’m reading the book of dragons, I’m on the Tale of the Ice dragon”.
“Is it good?” asked Thistle.
“Aye” said Tess, smiling back. “It is about dragons, I was assigned to read for the book club..” She moved her finger across the dragon on the cover of the book.
Before Thistle could reply , Thanarien announced the horses were ready.
Tess put the book back in her bag, and walked up to see the horses, Robin’s horse chestnut was looking at her.. Tess pretended not to notice, and climbed onto her pony. Once everyone had gotten on to there Horses, The questers set off into the cold morning air , Tess couldn’t help feeling her bag, and to make sure the parcel was still there. She looked over at Thistle, He was looking at the map, which Thanarien had given to them for the journey… Thistle seemed to be looking at it. Then looked up, “since the moon Ravens appear  to be coming from The north , Then I believe we should go that way” said Thistle. “By flying it would take less time….But since none of you have wings.. I don’t think we could do that…”.

“That is true…” said Robin, who was rather glad that he didn’t have wings sticking out of his back, It most be so uncomfortable for Thistle, Having wings coming out of his back.

“So Riding and walking, Would be good for us” he said, “Come on, We have to find those fairies and elves”.

Tess still wondered about What had happened to those elves and faeries , she also wondered why her uncle Tirfendiel had never showed up for the meeting, Thanarien sounded awfully calm when he said that her uncle Tirfendiel was late (and never came). But when she talked to most elves they seemed that way…expect of course for Robin, He was always talking to his horse Chestnut, and held his sword with shaking hands he never really seemed a expert with weapons, though he carried around a single sword, Very much like her Uncle Tirfendiel, She was happily surprised when he came to her Birthday Party, He always carried around a single sword, That Glowed Green when ever monsters were around , But for some reason he did have a tendency to apologize to it for some weird reason , If he dropped it (By accident may I add) it would start flickering on and off, and he would pick it up, And would say things to it , such as “I’m very sorry I didn’t mean to drop you” , and “Oh dear, not again” and sometimes “It wasn’t my fault!!” The sword appeared to have a tendency to sulk and refuse to tell him if there were Monsters around. Sometimes, It appeared that sometimes he had to beg to the sword to glow and forgive him, for dropping it.

She put her hand on her bracelet which the dryads had given her , it was in a shape of branches weaving around to make a bracelet, The dryad had told her that it was made out of the same metal as elvish blades , it would glow whenever monsters were around, Very much like her uncles sword, which glowed whenever monsters around (or whenever he dropped it), She still wasn’t quite sure how elvish blades worked or the metal in particular. Did it just glow when you dropped it or only when monsters were around? She didn’t really want to try dropping it, Like her uncle had dropped his sword. She didn’t want to damage it , it was so pretty…
She moved her finger around the branches, and feeling the cold metal, with her finger. She was brought back to that same question again… what had happened to the elves and fairies?

“Here” said a voice, Tess hadn’t realized how far they had traveled, the castle was no where to be seen now. “Is a good spot to rest for the night” it was Robin , his rather short and choppy  Nut-brown hair was blowing in the breeze, she could see the sun setting behind him, soon it would be night. And many things would be out.

“How about we sleep in a Inn” said Tess, not wanting to be eaten by a monster considering what had happened last time. she had nearly became a cyclops dinner. “Where it’s warm, and we have comfortable beds, and good food and—“.

“Tess!” said Robin, “There is no Inn near by that I know of, that’s why we will be sleeping here for tonight” .

He didn’t speak to Tess after that neither did Tess, she remained quite and only read her book , she didn’t want to go to sleep instead she read her book that she had brought on the journey , she figured she should learn more about the monsters they would be dealing with:

Orcs - once where elves, but turned evil…

She couldn’t keep her eyes open, she found them slowly closing, she turned to the next page of the book, but was greeted with more text…

She sighed, “This is the only time words feel like a enemy”, and closed the book. and Stared up at the sky…

“Oh how I miss home…” she said, and felt her eyes close.

“Why did I have to close my eyes” she found herself saying, and looked around. she was in the library. “Well…maybe it’s a good dream” said Tess. “Or it was the fact that I was reading a book before bed” she said.
“Maim , are you looking for something?” came a voice,
a boy came over to her. “Who are you?” asked Tess. “
I should be asking that who are you?” he asked. “
Tess Short” said Tess.
“Never heard of you” he said.
“But I have live here” she said.
“Not anymore” he said, rather causally. “Have  you looked out the window?” he asked.
“Umm…no, why should I?” she said.
“You shall see” he said, and lifted up the curtain.
“W-what is that?” asked Tess, looking out the window, the sky was black , the sun was red, everyone looked unhappy, and Tired.
“And I suppose you are wondering what this means” he said. Tess nodded. “This is what might happen if you fail your quest” he said, stroking his chin.
“Wait, what do you mean? why haven’t you ever heard of me? what about my father?” she asked all at once.
“Hold your horse— ponies I should say, your father is fine. the rest of your family not so much…” he said.
“what do you mean?” asked Tess. “
Well, I can’t really tell you” he said. “But if you want their addresses I can give them to you” he said, and brought out a pen. “But I wouldn’t recommend going to King Tirfindiel’s castle , right now.…because eh— I can’t tell you but It’s a terrible idea” he said. “
Thank you, but can you direct me to my father’s house?” she asked.
“Sure” he said. “But it’s no where nearby really (anymore)” he said.
“Don’t worry , it’s a dream anything can happen” said Tess. “Such as flying” she said, and spread her arms wide, nothing happened. “
It’s not that kind of dream” he said. “Here I can walk you there” he said…
at the end of the street there was a sign: The short’s hole in the ground. “Why isn’t it in the woods?” asked Tess, walking up to the door.
“Because— never mind I can’t tell you that would be helping you, and I don’t help people unless it involves books” he said. Tess knocked on the door,
“Whoever you are, leave! I already paid the taxes you have been ordering!” came a voice, most likely her father’s. She turned to the boy who had come along with her he was gone.
“I wonder why he would leave me here?” she said, to herself then turned back to the door. “I came here, to talk to you” she replied back.
“I’m sorry, but’s not safe to talk to strangers” said the voice said back.
“I am no stranger” said Tess, but couldn’t help feeling like she was. suddenly there a sound that sounded like thunder rumbling she turned around, a man was walking down the street
“Bring out your money” he shouted, he was wearing black and din’t look like the nicest person (Tess thought he resembled a orc), there was a short hobbit following behind playing the drum and falling over his own feet (he seemed oddly familiar), he didn’t look very happy with playing the drum.
“Come on hobbit stop falling behind” The tax collector  shouted to the drum player. the drum-player dropped the drum with a loud crash ,
“Don’t you dare call me that ever!” The Hobbit shouted loudly.

Tess’s eyes opened with a start, she looked around then noticed something her bracelet was glowing!

Tess Short's story chapter 11

Chapter 11: A long meeting, and tea with mr.largefoot

“Tess? Tess?” a voice was calling her, were was she? what had happened? she opened her eyes , and saw Inny looking over her “Inny!” Tess said, “W-what happened?” she asked, looking around her…”You fainted” said Inny, “Are you alright?” she asked. “I-I don’t know” said Tess, she looked down at her feet, what was she going to tell Inny? she had been hided the secret for so long, she couldn’t hold it in anymore, “I saw someone in my dream, I don’t know who they are but…they asked me to join them” said Tess. “Tell me you said no” said Inny. “I said no” said Tess, then paused remembering the icy cold voice, the figure with no face (that she knew of.) “But then they told me, ‘you will have to face your fate’” said Tess. Inny looked worried “Maybe…we should go get, Robin, or Theron Ravenfeather, or someone” she said, “I will be right back” she said, and ran out of the room…
when she came back she was with Theron , Theron came up to her , “Tess, Tell me more, about this figure…” he said. Tess looked at him, then said “I remember the figure telling me it was to late to turn back,  then they offered me, a adventure free life” said Tess, “I’m glad you said no, Inny told me about it…you look fine, but just in case eat this” he said, and handed her what looked like leafs “Also , there will be meeting tomorrow be sure to come on time” he said, then handed Inny a peace of paper and left.
the next morning  Tess decided to explore the palace, she tried to keep her mind off the shaded figure, the palace was beautiful, the pillars had ivy growing on them. and floors were a beautiful white marble, the morning sunlight shone in through the windows, she gazed out them for awhile the woods were so far from there, she could see the town  in the distance , were they slept a few nights ago. in the distance there were shapes of mountains covered by fog, she let out a sigh.. “Tess, are you coming to the meeting?” asked Robin, coming up to her “I will come, have you ever wondered what lies beyond the mist of the mountains?” she asked. “Aye” said Robin. “Come now, we must not keep them waiting” said Robin, Tess and Robin walked into the room were the meeting was to be held, A fairy with jet-black hair and green eyes, they seemed to changing colors from green to pink, he sat with other fairies.  There was also a dryad with Orange hair and green eyes “Silena? what are you doing here?”  asked Robin. she looked up , “I’l tell you later…” she whispered. “Please take your seats” said a voice, a elf with auburn/orange hair came up to the table his eyes were a deep blue color. “I’m afraid we will have to start this meeting without King Tirfindiel, I’m afraid he’s late” he said. “But let’s start the meeting shall we?” he said. ‘It’s unlike my uncle to be late for anything’ Tess thought. ‘What if something happened?’.
“We came here to talk about the things that have been happening” said he. “I’m afraid, elves, Fairies, and other powerful creatures, have been disappearing for a unknown reason ”  he said. “Also there have been rumors spreading that monsters have been seen” he said.  “Could something  bigger and more powerful be letting them out? for they couldn’t be let out on there own , the rock that blocked there prison would be too heavy for even the biggest and strongest monster to be able to move” said the fairy, “Maybe thistle, but nothing that powerful was ever recorded in any of the documents” said Thanarien… “That’s true” said Thistle, gazing off into the distance. “Maybe people were too scared to write it down” said Silena. “But I May be wrong” she added. “The monster could have some type of power they makes people forget” said Tess. “Monster could be quick, and sneaky” mumbled Silena.
Suddenly thistle stood up from his seat. and said
“may I point out that my people have been disappearing, and we are talking about a monster that may not exist” “Thistle please remain seated” said Thanarien. Thistle sat down reluctantly.
“I have to agree, with Thistle there may not even be a monster like that” said Tess. “nothing like that has ever been recorded in any documents for one…maybe the monsters just escaped on there own” said Tess.
“But…what happened to the people who disappeared?” she said aloud. “I don’t know…That’s why I’m going to send questers to find out” said Thanarien. “The world is at stake, if you do nothing. it will…most likely end” he said, very calming as if it was nothing. “Who is willing to go?” he asked. there was a silence , no one answered. “I will” said Tess, breaking the silence, she had never been this exited about the idea of adventure in her life. “She can’t go alone, I’m coming with you” said Thistle. “I never said I was going alone” mumbled Tess. “I shall come to” said Robin. “Me too!” said Inny, “How can we trust a hag?” asked a fairy. “She can be trusted…” Protested Robin, “And she is a half hag!”.
Silena slowly stood up from her seat, “I will come with you” she said, blowing a peace of auburn hair out of her face. “I assume , you will be needing me” she said, and walked over to the group, there was a cheer from people at the table the only one who didn’t cheer was Thanarien, “I don’t know if they will be able to it..” he said silently , looking down at his feet. but his words unheard by the questers, through the sounds of cheering and laughter.

that night Tess lied in bed, staring up at the ceiling , thinking about the long journey ahead. She had always wondered about her father’s adventure, and wondered if she would go one herself, she had never considered the dangers of a adventure…but now she knew. she wondered weather her uncle was alright , he had not come to the meeting , it was so unlike him, maybe he had been busy that’s all nothing to be worried about.
but still it seemed unlike him to be late or not show up for something, he had come to her birthday (On time matter a fact). so why did he miss the meeting?
he could’v been busy with making laws or something, she looked at the leafs Theron had given her she hadn’t eaten them yet maybe she should she took a bite, she didn’t feel very different or anything , but she ate them anyway..then closed her eyes, hoping not to have any nightmares

Tess found herself standing on a doorstep of a hobbit hole, she looked around , maybe this wasn’t a nightmare just a dream, just a nice dream , she looked around , there was a sign near by it said:

welcome to the large foot’s hole

(if you are involved in anything such as asking me on a adventure then please leave)

she decided to knock on the door, even if it was a dream then maybe mr.largefoot could help in her, in a way.

The door was opened by a short man “Who are you?” he asked. “Tess…short” Tess Managed to say. “You came back? I thought you went on a adventure” he said. “Well I still am, on a adventure…this is a dream it might be hard to explain…I don’t know if you are real or not I mean, I could be talking to a dream version of you, or something you could be in my dream we could be both dreaming—“ she began , “I understand” he said. “You do?” asked Tess. “Also have you seen my uncle King Tirfindiel?” asked Tess. “Yes and No, but i’m afraid I can’t tell you more” he said, poring a cup of tea, “Do you want tea?”. “Sure…” said Tess, “Even if it is a dream” she said, and took a cup of tea , and drank it “It tastes like dirt” she said out loud, “It’s English breakfast” said Mr.largefoot.
“I’m Very sorry, you know this is a dream, and perfectly good English breakfast tea can well…taste like dirt” she said. Mr.largefoot crossed his arms “I’m afraid Ms.Short you will have to leave” he said. “But…but you didn’t answer my question yet” she said, but Mr.largefoot had already slammed the door. Alright maybe he hadn’t been the most helpful person,  she walked around the hobbit village, she walked by a hole there was a wooden sign next to it saying:

welcome to the short’s hairfoot’s Hobbit hole

‘Was this my father’s home, before he went on a adventure?’ she thought. suddenly she heard the sound of what sound like hundreds and hundreds of birds , Moon Ravens!

Tess gasped, it was morning, but she still had the taste of dirt on her tongue. but that didn’t matter, she put on a elven dressing gown. she ran as fast as she could to Theron “Theron does the healing herbs you gave me, have any side effects?” she asked.

Tess short story chapter 10

chapter 10:  the shaded stranger

there was a flash of green light, a sound of voices talking all at once, Tess felt as if she was falling , when she was falling she saw people she knew , Robin, and her uncle Tirfindiel were talking but there was something about him that looked different she couldn’t quite make it out…then the Image changed to Inny her black hair blowing in the wind , she was saying something that Tess couldn’t make out but , she caught a few words “Run” and “Hags”…then Lida and Finn, Lida was holding a sword to her surprise, Finn was a mess, and he was holding a axe? then the image changed to a army of trolls , goblins , and orcs , and several other creatures , led by a shadowed Figure , his or her face was shadowed…, he or she was wearing a black cloak over of his or her top armor, when he or she drew it’s sword the sword was jagged it midnight black,  the shaded figure shouted something in a hallow voice

Tess Gasped , had her adventure all been a dream? then she looked around the room, the scroll was still there. so it hadn’t all been a dream…she wondered who Thanarien was, and weather he could be trusted…
she had heard about Thanarien before, she had her parents talking about him, but they always stopped talking when she came into the room, and when she asked about what they were talking about they made excuses, Tess got out of bed and walked over to the table were the scroll was and enrolled it, it read:

Greetings,

You have probably heard about the rumors of monsters coming back….as you (probably) already know they are true.

but something else has been happening which is darker. I believe , elves and fairies (and other magical creatures)

have been disappearing…no one knows what happened to them they just vanished

it will be better explained if you come to my palace,

sincerely

Thanarien

Tess looked at the Letter she wasn’t sure what to think. Elves and fairies disappearing? monsters returning? her family could be in danger, they were elves well most of them, not counting father’s side of the family (who are all Hobbits).
what was she to do? then she looked around Robin and Inny were gone, Not again! the Key was lying on the dresser, she grabbed it , put the letter in her bag, opened the door closed it and locked it, and ran down stairs to were the Inn was bustling , people were talking, suddenly she noticed Robin and Inny sitting at a table talking to the shaded figure again, the one who worked for Thanarien, why was he wearing a disguise like that anyway?
she wondered what they were talking about…

“why do you wear that disguise anyway?” asked Robin. “Evil is lurking, I can not been seen even as a elf it is dangerous” said the spy…Robin could see his pointy ears through the hood, the raven that was perch on his pruned itself.
“Why do you carry around a Raven though?”  asked Inny, “Oh…that umm..” stuttered the spy. “He just likes it here” he said petting the raven who didn’t seem to mind…”So..are you coming to Thanarien’s palace or not?”  he asked. “yes, we will go” said Robin and Inny, “I will go too!” said Tess, “Of course, I mean I would have to go with you…Maybe you could drop me off back at home, you kno—“. “Your coming” said Robin interrupting Tess. “Alright Fine” said Tess, curling a peace of straight short red hair. “One question how do we get to Thanarien’s Palace?” Robin asked. the elf spy look at him and smiled, “You shall see” he said, there was a twinkle in his brown eyes…

“Oh no…I have a bad feeling about this” said Tess.

Much Later after the questers had packed there belongings and left the Inn, they followed the spy, who told them his name was Theron Raven-feather. “That explains , the raven.” said Tess…

as they walked , Robin looked around they were heading into a forest “does this Thanarien live in the woods?” he asked, “Nay, this is just a faster route” said Theron, Tess brushed through the undergrowth , being a hobbit can sometimes be hard, especially the feet part sometimes , how are you expected to run if you have big feet? But being a half Hobbit had some avenges , you could walk silently without anyone hearing you, though eating a large amount of meals a day, being a hobbit was completely fine…sort of. Tess looked up she hadn’t remembered those clouds being there before, then she realized those weren’t clouds! “Duck!” said Tess…”Why?” asked Inny, who didn’t see any reason why she needed to hide, “Inny, Robin, Mr.Ravenfeathe—I mean Theron, there are Moon Ravens!!” Said Tess, Robin looked up at the sky the black-clouds , “She is right. Duck!!!” said Robin. “Ravens aren’t ducks…” said Theron, but was pulled Down by The questers., the questers were well hidden underneath a huge rock covered with moss, a raven perched on it and looked around, it was jet-black but it’s eyes were like diamonds, it was not a normal raven…finally it flied away. “That was close” said Tess looking around, the raven was gone. Theron’s raven though seemed afraid. “What on earth are moon ravens doing here?” asked Robin. “I am not sure” answered Theron, “But we must continue, were very close” he said, and brushed back some vines to reveal a palace in the distance, it seemed to be made out of marble, and there villages around it.  “Welcome to Thanarien’s palace!” said Theron. Tess was dumbfounded she didn’t know what to say, she had been to her uncles castle in the woods, but she had never seen a castle like that. “Tess! Tess!” said Robin, he was waving a hand over Tess’s face, Tess blinked “Yes” she said, “Shall we go to the palace now?” she asked, “We will” said Theron, “Fellow me” he said, the group followed theron into the kingdom, some elves eyed them as they walked by, As they walked by Tess thought she saw Silena the Auburn haired dryad, but when she looked back she was gone. It must have been just her imagine, nothing just her imagine. when they came to the castle door the guards let them in, as they walked in Theron throw off his cloak, revealing white robes
, his raven magically turned from Black to white, he walked over to a servant and seems to be in a long talk with her,  the servant turned, “I will take you to your rooms” she said, they followed the servant, to a long hallway of doors, the servant opened a door and said “Here is your room” she said. there inside were three beds , there was also a painting on the wall,..Tess walked up to it, it showed questers going a quest for some reason they looked oddly familiar, one of the questers was holding a sword that was glowing bright green, he looked rather  like her uncle but younger , the other figure was holding a bow and arrow, she was also wearing a silver crown , and  was clad in green, she had to her hood partly covered her face.. behind the two figures  there was a short figure, he had large feet, and  curly red hair and was holding a pocket knife , he looked rather like her father, there was a also another figure she had brown hair tied back into a long braid she was wearing black robes and holding a staff, with a jewel atop it. her brown  eyes seemed to glimmer and twinkle. there was a sudden crash , Tess turned around there was a broken vase on the floor, and Inny was trying to pick it up , “Inny is everything alright?” asked Tess, walking up to Inny. Inny looked at her “Yes, everything is fine, I just bumped into it, nothing terrible” she said, Tess gazed off into the distance she thought she saw a black scaly tail go behind the dresser, rubbed her eyes it must have been nothing, she helped Inny pick up the broken pieces, and decided to sit down and read a good book, she had brought two books with her, she brought me out of her bag , on the cover it read: Tales of dragons  it had been the book Eldon had told her to read , unfortunately she would be missing the book club only because she had decided to go on a adventure, she did wonder what George the dwarf and Lauralas the elf were doing, she wondered what they were doing, they were probably doing there contest that they always did, most of the time Lauralas won ,but George sometimes won. she opened the book to the first page ,
the tale of the ice dragon , she shivered she had never met a dragon face to face but the idea of one made her shiver, she began reading suddenly there was a voice “It’s too late to turn back”. Tess turned around “Who are you?” she asked, the figure was cloaked and tall, “I know you…yet I don’t know you” said Tess, she remembered that figure from her dream but who was this person. “Come with me, and you can stop this all adventure nonsense, and have a nice peaceful life with no adventures” the figure said. “I..I” began Tess , not knowing what to say. “I will never join you, whoever you are” said Tess, “Well then…I guess you will have to face your fate”  said the figure, and vanished.
 then everything went black…

Tess short story chapter 6

Chapter 6: a message from Thanarien

the sun rose , brightening the forest…only the two cold trees where untouched by light. Robin was the first one awake, it was unclear weather he had slept at all, and if he didn’t he still looked rested. he figured he should walk around the forest , before they leave again for the journey , He walked around the forest , it was a quite beautiful day…yesterday the forest had looked dangerous, but now it looked friendly and peaceful…and pretty much harmless. “Argg!” shouted someone, Robin turned around, Silena was there she looked hostile the same as she did last night…well she hadn’t changed. she was throwing spears had a wooden wood-cutter statue…and shouting “I’l get you wood-cutters!!!”. Robin came up to her, “May I ask what you are doing?” he asked. “Oh…training.” she said fingering her spear, the wood-cutter statue had been beaten up, there were a lot of holes in it from the spears Silena had thrown at it.
“Just training…” she said again. Robin looked at her and the statue he had heard of dryads before…but never thought of them as spear-throwing-people.  he looked around , there where targets set up arrows where stuck in them , but Silena seemed to be the only one here who was training. “So…” said Silena, braking the silence. “what are you doing, as in being up so early” she asked. “I figured I should explore the forest before I leave, It is a pleasant place…” said Robin. “Indeed it is , but it gets lonely” said Silena…”Hardly anyone comes, here except for wood-cutters, and occasionally elves, they haven’t forgotten the old tales” she said, after she said that, she threw her spear at the wood-cutter statue and hit it in it’s head…and sent it to the ground…with a thump. “While humans…forget and say they don’t believe” she said, “If only they knew…”. “Maybe we can tell them, about you” Robin said. “I doubt they would believe you” she said. “They probably forgot about us altogether.” “Have some faith” said Robin, “Next time , I go to village where humans live , I promise you , I will tell them of you and your kind”. “Thank you…” she said, “Though your a elf, they may not believe” she said, in a trembling voice as if she was going to cry… “I didn’t mean to—“ began Robin, “No…it’s alright” she said, “…It may be impossible to do” she said, and walked away, leaving Robin standing there, speechless. Silena walked away trying to cry, if she asked the queen of the dryads if she could go on the adventure she would probably say no, ‘I don’t want you to get hurt’. that’s what she said every time it wasn’t fair! Silena kicked the kicked a twig, out of her path…it wasn’t fair! she sat down and starting to cry, “It’s not fair!!” she cried…”Silena” said a voice, she looked up it was Robin…”If I did anything to upset you, I am sorry” he said, “No it’s fine, just dryads are not allowed to leave our forest, because of the dangers beyond” she said…”I am forbidden to go, but I would love to go…if only I could” she said..a tear fell down her cheek, she whipped it away…”If only the queen would a agree to ,let me go” she said, and then burst into Tears. “I understand…Maybe I can ask the queen if you could come with us” said Robin…”That may work” said Silena. “I  just want to see what is beyond this forest, I was here since I was little and have never seen what is beyond”, “I’m sure you will Silena, when the time comes” said Robin,  putting his arm around Silena, “You don’t have to do that” said Silena, moving out of Robin’s grasp… “But I’m sure I will see the world, one day. It is feeling like it might come soon, I can just feel it”  Silena said, dreamily…”But..now I must go back to training” she said, picking up her bow. “For, Our realm can’t protect it self on it’s own” and walked away…
Robin was sure he could help Silena…he just felt like he could ,Tess lay in her bed made of leafs she didn’t want to be woken up especially after the affair with the clyopes, then something wet licked her face, “Finn, please take this nabaurs dog back to where he belongs” mumbled Tess, Sleepily. “Tess! your late” said a voice. “Late!” sad Tess, sitting straight up. “Have they already left!” she said, and jumped out of bed grabbed her bag… and running as fast as
she could out of the clearing, with Robin’s horse fellowing behind her…”No not yet” said robin’s horse, “But I came to tell you, that the dryad queen is—“ began Robin’s horse…suddenly they stopped in the center of the trees were the
queen was standing her long brown hair blowing in the wind,  robin  and Inny were  also there "Robin, I give this horn blow it whenever you are in danger" said the Queen of tithe dryads , reaching into her rope and brining out a golden
horn embroiled with green emeralds and putting it into Robin's hands. "For Tesariel, a bracelet forged from the same metal as Elvish swords...It will glow whenever monsters are near" Said the Queen,  “Sorry, I overslept. But I’l take it anyway, thank you your highness” said Tess, then slid on her arm… "Inny, A healing potion made from the sap , of a ancient tree. It will heal any wound or illness...but beware do not use too much of it , or you will never know what might happen" she said, handing  Inny a necklace with a leaf-shaped jewel which contained the ointment. "Thank you, your majesty , but before we leave, May I ask you something?"  Said Robin. "Yes" said the queen. "What is it you want to say". "May Silena come with us? She would make a excellent member of our party..." Said Robin... The queen was silent , then said "I can not risk anther life, Our realm is at stake. I'm afraid I have to say no, It's Only for the best". "Thank you for trying" said Silena, and left…”Silena wait!” said Robin, but Silena had already left…The questers we off once again, Robin felt with a heavy heart, If only Silena could have came with them , but the queen of the dryads couldn't risk anther life of one of her people. "Thank you for trying" Silena had said, the sentence still echoed in his mind. Silena still deserved a chance to get away from all the misery she was suffering...But he understood the Queen's worry...for evil is growing stronger by the minute. Robin fingered his hunting horn which the queen of the dryads had given him , it held magical powers of the forest...and hope from the queen of the dryads. “Are you alright Robin?” asked chestnut robin’s horse. “No…” said Robin. “I failed to help Silena, now she will be stuck in her realm forever never to see the outside world, she should’v been able to see it, oh how I wish she could”. “Be careful what you wish for, Robin” said Chestnut, shaking his head. “Don’t knock me off, or I won’t give that apple, I promised you” said Robin…clenching onto the reins , trying not to fall off. “Fine, But can you scratch me?” asked Chestnut. “Of course, Chestnut, you were my only friend since….well you know what, then Inny came along..and I the two of us, became three.” said Robin.  “She tried to steal me!” said Chestnut. “Well…I she didn’t have a horse with her in the first place, But It is still wrong to steal anyones horse…Now how about that Apple” said Robin, reaching his hand up to a near by apple tree that they were passing under..and pulled out a bright red apple, “Here you go” said Robin, climbing off Chestnut and Handing him the apple, which chestnut took from Robin’s hand and started munching on it…”Robin!” said Tess, riding up on her pony that the dryads  had provided her for the journey, “Can I give my pony one of those apples?” asked Tess. “Of course” said Robin and picked anther apple from the tree… and threw it to Tess, who caught it, and gave it to her pony…and munched on it , he seemed very happy….”So Robin…” said Tess, climbing back on her pony…”How are you?” she asked. “Good” said Robin, but his voice quivered. “Are you alright, I mean Silena not being able to come, I can understand.” Tess said, “I know, Tess you don’t need to remind me” he said, “But robin” said Tess, “Maybe the dryad queen would have let Silena come with us, if there realm wasn’t in danger” said Tess. “I doubt that” said Robin in a angry voice. “Robin, I didn’t—“ began Tess. Inny rode up on her horse, “Best to let him be” said Inny. “He’l get over it…eventually”, the questers continued , but no one talked they just rode silently , the only sound was the horses hooves on the ground…Questers continued riding, on there horses till they reached a village…The questers got off there horses and walked into the Village, Inny was in charge of taking care of the horses…”We shall sleep in a Inn tonight” said Robin…It didn’t sound quite as adventurous as he thought it would sound, but sleeping in a Inn was better then sleeping in the cold night air…the questers reached the Inn , it looked quite from the outside, lights were on in serval windows, some had candles in the windows , others were black..
Robin put chestnut in the stable for the night, and whispered “Don’t speak a word, or they will find out, we are here” he said…then went with Tess and Inny into the Inny Robin opened the door, it creaked open, there was a sound of music and talking, The questers went into the marry room, “Quire folk” whispered someone, “Aye indeed, they are” another said.. Robin ignored it…and sat down at one of the tables with Inny and Tess, “So…would you like anything to eat or drink” asked a girl, she had blond curly hair and  , sky-blue eyes, “Also, do you want a room?” she asked, “Yes” he said, “Here then, do you want a hobbit room. or a normal room” she asked.

“I’l—“ began Tess, “We’l do the regular room” said Robin, The girl nodded and handed him the keys , and told him not to lose them,   Robin nodded and ordered some food for Tess and Inny and himself , as they ate robin, looked around a man was watching them intently he had greasy raven black hair which covered his face , and was wearing a midnight black cloak, he had Raven seated on his hand , You could see his brown eyes through his black hair and they were staring at the questers his other hand was on his sword, so he could use it if needed (or wanted). “Suppose we leave, and go to our room” said Robin. “But—“ began Tess, but Robin had already taken her hand and was going up the stairs, Inny fellowed behind, “I still don’t see why we have to go upstairs , anyway, we just got here” she said, but went anyway, went they went into their room Robin shut the door, and locked it…”There is something dangerous out there” he said. Tess and Inny looked at each other…then turned back to Robin. “Robin, I still do not see what was so frightening” said Tess. “There were some people staring at us…yes they were rude…but I don’t see any—“ began Tess. there was a knock on the door , “Don’t Op—“ began Robin, but Inny opened it anyway, there stood a man with raven black hair wearing a midnight black cloak, and had a raven perched on his hand… “I have come to give you information” he said, and walked into the room “No need to draw your sword , Elf. I am not a spy” he said. “How do we know that, and my name is Robin” Robin said… “What if I told you I work for Thanarien….” he said, pulling down his hood, and revealing pointy ears. “He wishes to see you” he said, and gave Robin a scroll. “Farewell” he said, and left,  leaving the questers standing there, “suppose we meet this Thanarien” said Tess…
